Javier Garrido Salsas

Researcher. Transport economics | PhD Candidate. Port of Barcelona fellow

Javier Garrido Salsas is a Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. After completing his studies in Barcelona, he studied in Paris for two years where he completed the diploma of senior engineer at the Ecole des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris, a university specialized in Transport and Urban Planning. He completed his dissertation on the subject “Mobility model for the Smart City of Barcelona based on intermodality” and has attended the course “Engineering of smart cities” taught by the College of Civil Engineers Barcelona.

At a professional level, he has worked as a project technician at the Société d’Etudes Techniques et Economiques (SETEC) and the group of SUEZ Environnement. He currently works as a research engineer and consultant in an ex-post evaluation project for infrastructure at the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
