Julien Rigaut
Researcher in Sustainable Urban Mobility Transitions
Julien Rigaut is in his final semester of his Master’s degree, a double degree in Sustainable Urban Mobility Transitions coordinated by the EIT, which involves one year studying at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and another at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. He has previously obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, England.
His current research is focused towards developing a method for analysing trips taken in Catalonia and creating models which can accurately predict how the distribution of trips can be altered in the future. His tasks are oriented towards data analysis and demand modelling and various programming and specialised transport planning software are familiar tools which he is adept in using, such as MATLAB, R studio and VISUM among others.
