This study provides an estimation of air emissions (CO2, NOX, SOX and PM) released by ferry vessels at port-level. The Port of Barcelona was selected as the site at which to perform the analysis, in which 85 calls of 30 ferry vessels are monitored. Real-time data from the Automatic Identification System (AIS), factor emissions from engine certificates and vessel characteristics from IHS-Sea web database are also collected for the analysis. The results will provide air emission inventories and key indicators that will be useful to extend calculations to third vessels.
