In the last decade, the city of Barcelona has suffered a considerable increase in air pollution levels. As a first response to the reduction of pollution, from 1 January 2020 the Low Emissions Zone will be applied, with restrictions on certain vehicles entering the city. The main objective of this project was to analyse the impact on mobility from a short, medium and long-term perspective. CENIT provided the following services:

  • Benchmarking Barcelona with other cities.
  • Identification and proposal of suitable indicators in order to analyze the impact on transport and mobility.
  • Analysis of the data processed and the preparation of an impact report based on the specific context of the Barcelona area.
