From smart cities to the future of ports, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and CENIT are introducing three innovative micro-credentials on the digitalization of mobility.
These flexible short courses are designed to help professionals acquire and improve their skills in the field of transport, mobility, and logistics.
Financed by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, through the European Union’s Next Generation funds, this is the first time the UPC has developed this type of learning programme.
The micro-credentials can be taken face-to-face or in hybrid format. Taught over four to six months and worth 15 ECTS credits, these interactive courses will give students the tools they need to support their personal and professional development, and help them adapt to changes in the transport sector and labour market.
Our three micro-credentials beginning in October are:
Smart City And Mobility Management. A Multidisciplinary Approach
Course objectives:
⦁ Understand the implications of digitization on transportation processes and management
⦁ Lead digital transformation processes in cities
⦁ Identify and assess current technologies and establish the best technological practices for mobility challenges for people and goods
Ports 4.0. Digitalization Of Port Logistics And Management
Course objectives:
⦁ Knowledge of the key technologies in ports and their environment and the implications of digitisation on processes and human resource management.
⦁ The skills to lead digital transformation processes in companies and institutions linked to ports.
Smart Road Transport. Digitalization Of The Goods Transport Sector
Course objectives:
⦁ Understand how digitalization impacts freight processes and management
⦁ Identify and evaluate current technologies and establish best practices to meet mobility challenges for people and goods.
⦁ Lead digital transformation initiatives in transport and logistics
This marks the beginning of a long-term plan by the UPC to incorporate more micro-credentials into its offering.
