Our Last Mile Distribution course, organised in collaboration with EIT Urban Mobility, has been a huge success.
⦁ Sergi Sauri, Director of CENIT, kicked off the first session with an overview of the pressing issues surrounding last-mile distribution in cities.
⦁ In week 2, Juan Sandes from GLS offered valuable insights into the transformation of goods transportation in e-commerce. While Luis Framis de Ferrater and Ilias Allali Ben Haman of Geever | Distribución de última milla provided an in-depth look at how to implement a sustainable and economically viable approach to last mile distribution.
⦁ To round up, Marc Segura from Ajuntament de l’Hospitalet and Jordi Jové Palou from Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) shared case studies on how they are meeting the challenges of last mile distribution
According to course organiser, Paco Gasparín, the course was a great success. He said, “Attendees gained valuable insights into current urban goods distribution methods, the organisational strategies of large companies in package transportation, and innovative last-mile solutions.”
This second edition of the course provided a global perspective on the challenges of last-mile distribution and the innovative solutions available – all with a strong emphasis on practical implementation
