Andrés Reyes Díaz holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialisation in transport and urban planning from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).

Professionally, he has experience in the consultancy sector for transport and mobility projects, having worked at SinobMobilitat and SENER (where he was involved in the demand study for the expansion of the Arequipa and Tumbes airport, Peru). Since May 2021 he has been a researcher at the Centre for Innovation in Transport (CENIT).

Among his areas of expertise is transport economics, where he currently collaborates with the Department of the Vice-Presidency and of Digital Policies and Territory of the Generalitat of Catalonia in infrastructure assessment through the SAIT methodology (Cost-Benefit Analysis), has promoted various improvements and the introduction of new environmental and socio-economic indicators to Ex-Post Evaluation for infrastructure projects and has developed different interactive tools associated with these evaluations.

He has also participated in projects related to road freight and passenger transport sector for the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), and related to the port of Barcelona, such as the study of The Future of Human Capital in Ports or Port the Twin (Digital Twin port).
