Genís Majoral Oller

Researcher in Transport Economics
Genís Majoral is a Civil Engineer specialized in transport and urban planning from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He is a researcher at the Center for Innovation in Transport (CENIT) where his areas of specialization are modeling and transport demand and transport economics. In modeling he is currently involved in the updating of the transport demand model for the Directorate General of Infrastructure and Mobility of Catalonia and assessing the impact of superblocks in mobility.
In economics and transport logistics, he has participated in the definition of an externality tax for the distribution of eCommerce in Barcelona (published TRR paper), he has participated in the elaboration of the digitalization manual of the freight transport (DTES) and several projects on road freight sector for the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA).
He has also participated in the elaboration of the Trinidad and Tobago Maritime Policy and Strategy. At the moment he is pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at the UPC and a Master’s degree in Economic Research at the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
